U.S. officials confirm the Washington Post report that Pakistan has agreed to allow the CIA to send a forensics team to examine the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed as Islamabad tries to repair relations with its largest benefactor.
Under the agreement, the CIA has "permission to use sophisticated equipment in a search for al-Qaeda materials that may have been hidden inside walls or buried at the site," the Post reported.
The U.S. apparently also will get access to any materials gathered by Pakistani security forces after the May 2 raid in Abbottabad. NBC News has reported that "operational logs" of al-Qaeda were retrieved by the Pakistanis in the days after the assault on the compound. Most, if not all, of the materials seized by the Navy SEALs that morning were grabbed from bin Laden's bedroom office. The SEALS simply didn't have time to conduct a more thorough search.
There is speculation that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may visit Pakistan this weekend. So, it's not a bad thing for Pakistan to grant this another access in advance of her rumored trip.

I was thinking that myself, but science today has a way of seeing things that dont seem in sequence or maybe seen on video that no longer is there, could be an opportunity to see how honest they are being with us.
No, it is almost unbelievable that the Pakistani government has done it this quickly, but they have actually got amazingly wise, amazingly quick. They actually decided that they have took enough of a slapping around by rogue al-Qaida units and got wise enough to start talking reason and sense with US officials. Perhaps a wise and good move on the part of the Pakistani government. But again like I said before the big job they have ahead of them is cutting through the 9 million different opinions that the general public has and uniting a large enough force of resistance to do something about all the home grown terrorist want-a-be's. As it is right now, maybe the al-Qaida is the largest and most united organization anywhere in that part of the world!
Yes anything incriminating has been scrubbed or shredded. All of this is simply posturing for the press. US tells them, OK we came in the country on the sly, you can act mad at us for a few weeks, say tough things, then we go back to you lying to us and we rolling all over you and the checks in the mail!
The attention should quickly shift to acquiring the next target - whoever wants to replace Bin Laden as the head of Al Qaida. Would anyone in Al Qaida like to say who they want to be the next leader?
Ayman Al Zawahiri is a logical candidate. I know that he would LOVE to become a martyr in the cause of trying to force the rest of the world to become muslim and kill a lot of muslims along the way to show how powerful he is..

There is something else the CIA is now looking for. They've got evidence from the Seal's cleanup and there is something else that's not too obvious. Don't worry, the Pakistani intelligence service is more tin pan than the keystone cops ever could have been.

According to every intelligence agency worth their salt all around the globe, Osama bin Laden died in November 2001 from Marfan Syndrome and kidney failure, he never lived in Abbottabad and everyone who lived nearby knew the people who lived in that house, and Osama bin Laden was NOT one of them! Osama bin Laden was milked for everything that he was bulled up to be... from fake videos, to bogus broadcasts, to being blamed for a terrorist act (9/11) in which even the FBI said he played NO PART.

If you really can't figure out why it would benefit the U.S. to pretend Osama is alive and continue the charade in the middle east then you have failed as a human being.
